Welcome to Health
Recovery Services Health Recovery Services, Inc. is a private non-profit 501(c)3 corporation and Drug Free Workplace committed to serving those affected with mental illness and alcohol, tobacco, and drug addiction. HRS helps with the lifelong recovery of individuals and families by way of education, prevention, treatment and other supportive services. Established in 1975 in Athens, Ohio, Health Recovery Services' vision is to be a source of wellness with belief in the potential of people as our highest principle. HRS offers both outpatient and residential treatment options for consumers. All outpatient sites offer alcohol, drug and mental health services, individual and group counseling, case management and gambling screenings. Effective, research-based prevention programs are provided to the public as well. Take a closer look at the services we offer here. CARF EXEMPLARY CONFORMANCE In 2009, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities commended Health Recovery Services for "stepping above and beyond to serve consumers" in the following areas: 1)
HRS
encourages family participation by paying for hotel rooms while family
members
are in residential treatment (Bassett House). 2) Rural Women's Recovery Program
utilizes arts and crafts for helping female consumers bring out emotions 3) Connecting to the community – The Division of Community Services is well known throughout Athens County and surrounding areas. DCS staff members are actively involved in local schools and participate in several extracurricular activities for local students. The next CARF survey is scheduled for May/June 2012*DIVISION OF COMMUNITY SERVICES - RECIPIENT OF 2010 ODADAS EXEMPLARY PREVENTION PROGRAM AWARD Health Recovery Services, Inc. is funded by the Athens-Hocking-Vinton and Gallia-Jackson-Meigs Boards of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services, and federal and state levy monies. HRS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS), and the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH).
